Spring 2026 Season - Key Dates


Upcoming Key Dates:

Registration:

  • Spring 2026 divisions will open Saturday, November 1st: See the Registration page for details.

Assessments:

  • All divisions (except for Shetland MINORS) - assessments are planned for Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th
  • The draft and team announcements the following week
  • Assessments are mandatory for all players (except Shetland MINORS).
  • The assessment is a run through of baseball basics (throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, base running) to help show level of skills which assists the coaches & league in creating balanced teams.
  • Be on the lookout for email with time slots and details per division.

  • Scorekeepers Training - TBD
  • Field Clean Up Day: February 7th - Help get our McEvoy fields ready for opening day
  •  First Practices: Week of January 19th
  •  Opening Day and First Games: February 21st
  •  Weekday Games for Pinto and Mustang after daylight savings: March 10th
  • Playoffs for Pinto and Mustang: May 5th-11th
  • Allstar Nominations: April 20th to May 1st


What to expect for the schedule practices & games:

Division Practices & Games
Shetland Minors - Tee Ball (6U)
1 practice a week, typically for 1 hour starting around 4/4:30 pm based on what works for the volunteer coaches.
Practice day will depend on the team your player is placed on. 

1 game a week on Saturdays, for approximately 1 hour.
 Shetland Majors - Machine Pitch (6U) 1 - 2 practices a week:
Practices are typically for 1+ hours starting around 4/4:30 pm based on what works for the volunteer coaches.
Practice days will depend on the team your player is placed on. 

1 game a week on Saturdays, for approximately 1 hour.
All other divisions
2 practices a week until games begin*
Practices are typically for 1.5 - 2 hours starting around 4/4:30 pm based on what works for the volunteer coaches.
Practice days vary - depends on the team your player is placed on.


For the first few weeks of the season, 1 game a week on Saturdays

After Daylight Saving Time begins in mid-March, expect 2 games a week, 1 on Saturday + 1 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday


*Once mid-week games begin, practice days may change and coaches may elect to practice only 1 day a week.


The regular Spring season will end early -mid May for most divisions.
